To members of the list:
I have a n X n distance matrix from 37 human populations that summarises
genetic allele frequency data. Zeros are on the diagonal and the matrix is
square. I am trying to read this data into mclust and perform model based
clustering analysis and compare to Ward's method and Average linkage methods
of cluster analysis. I cannot get mclust to read this dataset. The error
message is as follows:
Error in .Fortran: Cannot coerce mode list to integer: .Data = list(..
I get this message when I try to execute the mclust command. I also get the
message when trying to recreate the example of republican votes given in the
help section of S-Plus under classification by mclust.
My system information:
Wintel PC 733 MHz
256MB RAM
SPlus 2000 Professional Release 3
