I have a number of questions concerning timeSeries in Splus 5.0 rel. 3
for UNIX (Solaris):
When I create a timeSeries from a data frame, it keeps the names from
the data frame. They at least show up when I do a summary(). How can I
look up these names in the timeSeries; names() does not work?
I am also not able to see the dimension of the timeSeries. Neither
dim() nor length() give any sensible answers.
I have also problems with the aggregate() function. I get errors or
chrash when I try to use the by = "hours" argument on a time series
having 8 measurements an hour running over several days.
My last question is about the trellisPlot.timeSeries. There is an
example in the "Guide to statistics" (p. 674, fig. 23.7). How do I get
the names of the variables to show up in the strips, and how do I get
different labels on the y-axis for the two variables. I have tried to
use @units, but without success.
