We seek a Quantitative Psychologist for a Ph.D. level, non-tenure
line, Research Professor position (open rank) in the Laboratory for
Social Research (LSR) with concurrent appointment in the Department
of Psychology and its exciting, new program in Quantitative Psychology.
The LSR provides statistical, methodological, and programming
consultation and assistance to faculty and graduate students in the
Department of Psychology, as well as the other Social Sciences.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, statistical
consulting, teaching 1-2 advanced graduate and undergraduate
statistical courses per year, helping in the acquisition and
management of large data bases, and overseeing aspects of selected
research projects as they arise.  Must be able to teach and supervise
graduate students who assist in these enterprises.  Good background
in statistical software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, S-Plus) and computers
(e.g., Windows, Unix) is essential.  Ability to work well with
people in an innovative multidisciplinary research environment is
