Dear all, I have a character string "012006" which is made up of the month (first 2 characters) and year(last 4 characters). I would like to obtain the previous month, i.e. "122005". I've tried using the seq.dates() but couldn't get it in the right format. I would be grateful for any assistance. Thanks in advance. Eric
