Please accept my apologies for my last e-mail to this list. It appears that
my e-mailer inserted a series of <excerpt> commands into my text (reason
unknown). And my thanks to those who deciphered my message and sent
suggestions, which I will summarize soon. The original text is given below.

I would like to get a hard copy of the graphics resulting from
histogram(~value|source*type,par.strip.text=list(cex=0.8))
Unfortunately, I do not have a colour printer; therefore, the default
two-tone background colours of the strips are printed as confusing grey
regions. How do I modify the above command so that these background colours
are turned off?
I have tried
histogram(~value|source*type,strip=function(...)
strip.default(...,style=1),par.strip.text=list(cex=0.8))
but this only provides a slight improvement. I would prefer to have strip
labels without any background colours.
Thanking you in advance,
Richard
