I am running S-Plus version 4.0 under Windows 95. The function I am
running needs to iterate a loop 5^5 times. It is running very slowly,
but I see no way to make it more efficient. As I understand, S is very
memory hungry and does not release memory after each iteration. A non-S
user suggested that there might be a "de-allocate" option which I can
use to release the memory after each iteration. Is there?
Thanks, once more, for your help.
