Dear S+ Users:

Thank you all for your quick and helpful responses....
especially Brian Ripley, Bill Venables, Joseph Collins, Rolf
Turner, and all of the others!

Someone asked me to clarify the question: What I wanted to
do was to have a plot with xaxis from 0 to 2*pi, to
demonstrate a sine curve to some beginning trig students. I also
wanted to have the x ticks labeled with the Greek letter pi;
i.e., \pi/2, \pi, 3 \pi/2 , ......  You get the drill.

The best results appear from the psfrag, from the following:

CTAN/macros/latex/contrib/supported/psfrag/

which can be obtained from any CTAN archive. You
can save the plot to a ps file and fix it up in a LaTex document.

BTW, what does WIMP refer to, please? Is that for PC's?

Thanks again! Have a great weekend all!

Sincerely,
Erin Hodgess
