| Thread-topic: | Lower case time zone issue |

Folks, For some reason, SPLUS 7.0, build B7487 as of Dec 04 does something odd. It produces a lower case time zone: > date() [1] "Fri Jun 16 08:31:15 edt 2006" This can be a problem in several cases. For example, if you were to do : timeDate(date(), in.format="%w %m %d %H:%M:%S %Z %Y", format="%Y%02m%02d") the result would be an NA. After a lot of checking e.g. > options("time.in.format") > options("time.out.format") > options("time.out.format.notime") > options("time.zone") > timeZoneC() > timeZoneList() > Options > Settings under Data and Startup tab as well as checking the Win XP time/date settings, it all came out as it should be; Insightful did offer a work-around by defining a new time zone but I am still curious as to whether anyone has seen similar behavior. Any ideas what might be causing it?
