Hi,

I looking at doing some factor analysis on a reasonably large data set (a
couple of thousand variables). I have seen that there are two methods for
estimating these models in S-Plus. I was just wondering whether someone can
give me an account of their experience with S+ in fitting these models. I
know that there are other methods for fitting these models (using the EM
algorithm) and I am wondering how they compare with the methodologies used
in S+.

Thanks in advnace,
Glenn Treacy
