Hello,

I am trying to write the quote (") character to build command lines wit wget; i tried paste (" \" ", "something" ) and i get the string :

\" something

Other quesion: I am trying to run executables (including splus) through the "system" fucntion. I'd like to use for instanc a command liike that:

 wget -O  - "http://databaseurl" > "C:\Documents and Settings\Me\Desktop\data.csv"

The  executable is in the root of the C drive, the shell command window starts in the C drive. How can I do that fromn SPlus? I have tried many different formats but it did not work, and the "system" help is not very clear

I am running a 6.1 version

Many thanks

Stephane
