I have the same problem, and due to my system administrator:
As far as I know the associated error message of "not enough memory" is a
known bug, and the problem appears in combination with an old version of
Win95. There should be a newer version of Win95 (the one which allows for
the newer file system) which can handle the help-indexing of the S+ help.
I have not yet tried a newer version of Win95 !
