problem with lme

I'm running Splus 6.0 Release 2 for Windows
and get a loading error message when I try to run lme:

Problem in .C("inner_perc_table",: "inner_perc_table"
is not a symbol in the load table,
while calling subroutine inner_perc_table
Use traceback() to see the call stack

Please advise.
