I guess this is a matter of personal preference. I find the S-Plus manuals much easier to read than I do the SAS manuals. A good text such as Venables & Ripley can be used to learn the system. As we

This looks to me as though S-Plus has been designed for Excel 95 or earlier with a maximum of 16K rows. I use an Excel add-in, purportedly written for Excel 97, that does the same thing. Jim Youngman
