- I need to know how the confidence intervals are calculated for the median when used in the boxplot() command. Does anyone know where I can look, or does anyone have a reference? Thank you very much,

- This is boxplot.default(), and if you look at the code you will see it is mainly a call to an S2 graphics function, that is one predating S-PLUS. Without seeing the code, we don't know. The standard
