On Windows "ctrl-]" highlights matching sets of "fences".

Logic would suggest an option to edit text in any specified editor -
but I'm not sure the JMP supports this directly.

Vi for the Mac is probably the most sophisticated option for your
purpose. See the "%" command for "Find matching bracket, brace, #if,
#endif"
