Please specify the operating system that you are running?  Are you running os x 
with a os 9 emulator?

The mostly likely cause of this is a corruption in the resource and/or data 
fork.  It could also be a permission issue.  Try running repair permission.  If 
that doesn't work, run fsck (see man page).
