[S] Big Data Set

I have a question about a big data set. I have a S-Plus PC version 
running in a PC. I am using S-Plus mainly for data processing, such as 
tabulation and I am wondering if S-Plus can handle a data set of having 
70000 observations. Thanks for your time.
