A quick look at make.groups() finds the use of category() down toward the
bottom:
ans <- list(data = data, which = category(whichs, labels = variables))
Now a look at the help for category() finds:
"This function is deprecated; factor or ordered are now preferred."
Mathsoft, will this and other bugs (most notably, Brian's fix for the
gamma family in glm) be fixed in a fourth release, or will this all be
done later when V4.5 comes out?
