In an applied course about time series analysis I would like to use the
dataset 'hstart':
>> US Housing Starts
>> SUMMARY:
>> U. S. Housing Starts, monthly, January 1966 to December
>> 1974.
>> SOURCE:
>> U. S. Bureau of the Census, Construction Reports.
> hstart
Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec
1966: 81.9 79.0 122.4 143.0 133.9 123.5 100.0 103.7 91.9 79.1 75.1 62.3
1967: 61.7 63.2 92.9 115.9 134.2 131.6 126.1 130.2 125.8 137.0 120.2 83.1
Can someone give me more details? Especially what does 81.9 (Jan 1966)
really mean? Measurement in thousands or otherwise transformed?
Many Thanks
Markus
