I would be interested if anyone has developed S+ code for
the violin plot technique discussed by Jerry Hintze and Ray Nelson
in the latest American Statistician:
"Violin Plots: a box plot denisty trace synergism", Am Stat, v52 n2 May
1998: pp181-184.

Violin plots are extensions of boxplots using the horizontal dimension
surrounding each plotted group to characterize the (mirrored:
left-of-center equals right-of-center) smoothed density function of the
data.
