Jens Oehlschlaegel mentioned the admirable work that Frank Harrell has done
with the design library and that he has done with the ref library.  These
both raise a number of interesting ideas and valuable approaches.

Rest assured that we do look at what s-news readers develop.  If we haven't
explicitely rolled specific things into S-PLUS, it's because we've been busy
fulfilling other user requests.
