Actually, I find that the frequency of posted summaries holds up quite
well compared to comparable mailing lists. What is perhaps more
troubling is the infrquency with which the summaries contain a copy
of the original posting, making it difficult to understand the
summarized responses. Not everyone saves all postings to the list,
and even if one does save everything, it's a laborious pain to match
up a summary with the original statement of the problem.
