Hello,
I am trying to export graphs from Splus 4.5 release 2 to wmf format.
When
I try to export the graph using the File menu or graph.export(), Splus acts
like it is working, but whenever I click the mouse anywhere over the S-Plus
window, I get a Windows dialog with the title Server Busy and it says that
"The action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose
'Switch To" to activate the busy program and correct the problem." The othe
option is 'Retry'. Neither of them appear to help. I also notice that in
the Processes list in the NT Task Manager, sdll16.exe has started and isn't
doing anything (no CPU percentage). As I click retry again and again,
multiple instances of sdll16.exe start, but apparently do nothing. I have
let it sit for a while thinking that it takes a while. In any event, it
ends with the following error message.

> export.graph("d:\\tmp\\test.eps",Name="GSD2",ExportType="eps")
Failed to export graph to 'd:\tmp\test.eps'. This may be due to missing the
automation server 'SDLL16.EXE'
 in your program startup directory.

Sdll16.exe is in my splus\cmd directory. Has anyone had this problem and
fixed it? Does anyone have any suggestions? I called tech. support,
waited on hold for 30 minutes, then left a message requesting that someone
call me. I have yet to hear back from them. I also checked the snews
archive and found three messages referring to the same problem, but no
solutions. Thanks for your time.
