[S] Generalized linear mixed model function?

Hi,

I would like to know if anyone is aware of a function in S-PLUS that will
fit generalized linear mixed models.  Specifically, I would like to find
something that uses likelihood methods, as the experimental procedure
NLMIXED does in SAS Version 7 and later.  I am not interested in an S-PLUS
equivalent of, say, the GLIMMIX macro in SAS which uses GEE-type
estimation.

I appreciate any information.
