I am new to S-plus (version 4.5). I think I understand how to examine
case-control data in generalized additive models - the GAM equivalent to
logistic regression. But I'm looking for a way to deal with matched
case-control data (1:1) matching - the GAM equivalent of conditional
logistic regression. Hastie & Tibshirani describe this on page 202-211 of
their book (Hastie TJ, Tibshirani RJ. Generalized additive models.
London: Chapman & Hall, 1990), but I don't understand how this is
implemented in S-Plus. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Peter
