The error was to use pdf.graph() similarly to printgraph(),
i.e using it _after_ producing the plot.
Having hit this point, I wonder if it would have been
better (simpler) that they have added another option to "method"
of printgraph(), in addition to laserjet and postscript,
instead of adding another command.
