Thanks to Don McKenzie for gently reminding me of the archives.
I've determined that, the problem resided within the _Prefs directory. I
don't know what all is in this directory nor do I fully appreciate the
significance of the various file suffixes, such as .STB, .dft and .smn.
Fortunately, I had a _Prefs directory in another project that, when copied
into the project with GUI problems, allows the GUI to work fine.
If, at their leisure, someone would be so kind as to clue me in on
just how to interpret what's in the _Prefs directory, I'd apprciate it.
I've saved the old _Prefs directory, just in case I need to salvage
something out of it, though I have no idea what anything in there really
is.
Thanks again to the list: without the archives, I'd still be lost.
