If an interaction term is used in a gam, the plot of the interaction term can at times obscure interesing information. If plot.gam() could be persuaded to do a contour plot instead, I could see what's happening over the other side of the hill. I can't make head nor tail out of the code for plot.gam. What part is recognising factors? Thanks for suggestions. Patrick ----------------------------------------------------------------------- This message was distributed by s-news@wubios.wustl.edu.
