We recently upgraded our operating system from Solaris 2.5 to
Solaris 2.7. I have just observed the following phenomenon,
which I conjecture is related, although I can't be sure:
When using brower() to debug a function, I used to be able to
break out by typing <crtl>-\ --- Splus would then give a response
something like ``Restart cancelled'' and I would be back talking
directly to Splus rather than being ``inside'' the function I was
debugging.
This no longer seems to work --- i.e. I get no response at all
from <crtl>-\. So how do I get out of debug mode? Can anyone tell
me how to get Splus to pay attention to <crtl>-\, or suggest another
way of breaking out? A couple of <ctrl>-d's seems to kill the Splus
session completely; gets me out alright, but too far out.
I'm using Splus 3.4 under Solaris 2.7 on a Sparc Ultra 1.
cheers,
Rolf Turner
