Hi S-Plus users group,
I'm doing an experiment that requires the use of the multicomp routine
in S-Plus.
I just want to know what the output of the routine represents. I seem
to have three distinct parts. Reproduced below is some sample output.
The output indicates the confidence intervals for the treatments in my
data set. So the V2-V3 for example represents the confidence interval
about the mean difference between the V2 and V3 treatments. Futher down
in the output, I found lines like the below,
V2-2 -4.68e+003 2.38e+003 -1.37e+004 4.38e+003
I don't know what V2-2 means in the beginning of the line? Still futher
down the result set I found lines like
1-2 5.03e+003 3.51e+003 -8.34e+003 1.84e+004
What does the 1-2 in the beginning of the line mean? The documentation
does not say.
BTW, I'm using S-Plus version 4.5 Release 2 on Windows-NT.
Thanks S-Group,
Tom
