Hello S-News readers,

It is straightforward to use the standard S-PLUS plotting functions to
depict the point locations of my field sampling quadrats, create contour
plots, etc., but I would like to add to these plots a polygon outline
showing the boundary of my study site. This polygon outline already
exists as an ArcView shape file and an Arc/Info coverage, but is it
possible to create a database file that can be used with the map()
function in S-PLUS? Are there other ways to add a polygon "boundary" to
my plots?

Thanks.
