[S] Installing SpatialStats v. 1.1 in Win98

I am having trouble installing S-Plus SpatialStats version 1.1 in S-Plus
v. 4.5.  The main difference between this and previous installations is
that this one is on a new machine running Windows 98.  S-Plus itself is
running fine. Setup starts OK, but when "Setup is searching for
installed components . . ." comes up, the program hangs interminably and
must be closed using Crtl>Alt>Del.

Is Windows 98 the problem?
