The subject of regression quantiles has come up on this list in the past.
At the time I wasn't interested but now I have a potential application.
Can anyone point me to an elementary introduction to quantile regression
-- something written at about the level of the American Statistician or a
advanced-applied (an oxymoron?) textbook chapter.
