[S] Question on data manipulation

Dear S-Plus User,

How can I write S-code to calculate the mean of  2 largest DBH within each PLOT.

e.g  Plot     DBH         
      ------     -------
       1         2
       1         5
       1         9
       1         3
       2        15
       2          9
       2          7
       2        10

Any helps would be appreciated. Thanks.
