Hi,
I tried to generate data with specific skewness, mean, and variance but
didn't succeed. The design is skewness(1, 2)*mean(0, .5, 1)*SD(.5, .75. 1).
I checked rbeta using delta method. But the mean and variance of delta
method are different than the original rbeta. I suspect it is because delta
method has a normal assumption and I am working on skewness distribution.
I plotted the rgamma?s rate with mean and SD when shape (skewness) is fixed.
It turned out most of the mean and SD combinations are impossible to occur
with the skewness situation I need.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
