Dear S+ users,
Could somebody say me if there is some remedy to the following S+2000 (+W98
/ 64MB) behaviour:
Having plotted one single graphsheet with four pages using "barchart" calls,
I tried to modify the text of the x-label of a page (converting graph to
objects and inserting a single character from another font). This action
had the following effects:
- in a first time, the plotted points sizes on this page were all reduced
(points were plotted with the 'pch' parameter);
- when I tried to do the same kind of manipulation on another page of the
graph, all the graphsheet pages loosed most of their components and their
objects became unaccessible.
I encountered the same kind of behaviour with S+ 4.5 (+ W98 / 64MB).
Should the use of editable graphics features be avoided for trellis graphs
or in general for graphs containing a large number of objects?
Should an increase in memory solve the problem?
I never use the editable graphics features, preferring a full command line
approach when it answers my needs. I know that PostsScript printing would
solve my problem (cf. the S+ list). As I do not have access to such a color
printer, I tried this time to edit the graphs interactively but with no
success.
Any hint?
Thanks.
