I am in the market for a new machine. Is there any advantage to S+ in

I have been using dual-processor machines for Windows NT, and before that
OS/2, for about 4 years now. I find that they are worth it. Very little,
if any, software takes advantage of the second processor
directly. However, if you need to do other work while a long job in S+ is
running, having the extra processor is extremely convenient in giving far
better response time. Also, one can run two long jobs simultaneously, and
each effectively uses one processor, giving close to twice the throughput.
