Dear S+ users,

I am looking for a sequential procedure to estimate the mean of a normal
population having unknown variance with a given relative precision. The
well-known first two-stage procedure of Stein allows to build confidence
intervals with specified confidence coefficient and absolute span. I would
like to replace this span by the product µ * c where µ is the unknown mean
and c is a given constant between 0 and 1.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards.
