Dear S+ newsgroup,

I'm using SPlus, version 4.5 (Windows)

I can't find any native facilities to make sounds even as simple as the old
Control-G 'bell' -- is there a way to generate a system 'beep'?

Also, does anyone know of a function or utility to read and write bits to
the parallel port (a poor man's binary I/O port).

Thank you all most sincerely,

Derek
