S-Plus 2k on SoftWindows95 emulator on Macintosh (2)

There are two other points I should have mentioned in connection with this:

(1) Each command entered results in:

  Warning in match("discard", names(restart)): sqrt(21):
 DOMAIN error
 
twice over. (Just a beginner's guess, but is this once for each of "parse"
and "eval"?)

(2) entering 

> sqrt(21)

gives

[1] 4.582576
