Dear listers,
I am analysing a 95000 event data frame with survReg on WinNT SPLUS2000.
I am invoking stepAIC to build a model from 7 factors (6 two level
and 1 three level) and 1 covariate. The model building process takes
(is taking) a long time (>14 hrs).
I seem to recall a reference to an option in the survReg call that
could speed up things by saving "a matrix" such that it did not need
recalculating and disk access each time a model is updated (perhaps
x=T?)
Can anyone tell me what the matrix is and what the option might be if
it is not x=T?
cheers,
andrew
