Hi S-Plus Experts,
I'm having some problems with S-PLUS suddenly closing itself, or often
giving me the message:
The instruction at "0x5f841793" referenced memory at "0x00000036." The
memory could not be "read." Click OK to terminate the program.
The codes, which I assume to be memory addresses are always the same.
What does this mean? Is there a bug in my code, a physical problem with
a memory chip, not enough memory, not enough disk space? The problem
used to be (apparently) random, but now I can generate it every time
with a particular plotting function that overlays an image on a map.
The function works fine in one project with one set of map limits, but
same code with different xlim and ylim on the map and moved to a
different project will generate the error every time.
S-PLUS ver 4.5 release 2, Windows 2000 Professional, 128 megs ram.
Any clues?
Thanks, KG
