Hello,
We would like to link a new library to Splus. We use Splus 6.01 on Solaris.
We installed the Sun Workshop package in order to be able to compile the
code. We typed the following commands at the Unix prompt in the directory of
the library (SHOME/library/name_of_our_library):
Splus CHAPTER
Splus make
We got some warnings but no errors.
Then, at the Splus prompt, we typed the following commands :
>library(nnet, first = T)
/splus/user/d20m/VR6/nnet/S.so: ld.so.1: /splus/cmd/Sqpe: fatal:
libucb.so.1:
open failed: No such file or directory

Then, even though the library appears on the search list, we are unable to
use the code; Splus says that it is not dynamically linked.
We would like to be able to use MASS and rpart.
Thanks for your help.

Chafik Bouhaddioui.
