I am trying some graphs in SPlus2000 for Windows. I am using a
Compaq PC with Windows 98. I am more used to the UNIX version
of Splus 3.4.
<color><param>7F00,0000,0000</param>I want to put a Greek mu sign in the key on
the graph. ie something
like:
</color> Treatment 1: 5 uM per litre
(or indeed <color><param>7F00,0000,0000</param>any other specialised character
from a different font e.g.
ticks from </color>Dingbats). In Unix I can do this in several ways eg
<color><param>7F00,0000,0000</param>mixed.text.vector(), or paste in
mixed.text() by giving it the ASCII
number and the font number.
SPlus for Windows manual says I can change fonts, but won't tell
me how. (I can change the font on the WHOLE graph to Symbol,
but I don't want all my axis titles etc in Symbol font), It doesn't
recognize font=13, or font = "Symbol", or anything similar.
Even the on-line help doesn't seem to have it, unless I am blind
(increasingly possible with age!)
Why do I not just use the UNIX version, you ask? Because that
creates postscript files as output. They cannot be seen on the
monitor when you include the graph in a Word document (although
they print in hardcopy just fine). If I draw
the graph in the Windows version, I can save it as a Windows
metafile, and my clients can see it on the screen (they need
spoonfeeding).
</color>I would be most grateful for any help. I am sure it should be simple,
but no-one I have asked locally can help me.
Sincerely<color><param>7F00,0000,0000</param>
