With all of the S-Plus 6 disgruntlement that's been aired, I must say that,
so far and for my applications, S-Plus 6 is *much* faster than S-Plus 2000.

Interesing - some things seem to run slower. I ran a little function to
bootstrap a function of the WMW statistic. In Splus 2000 it took 11
seconds and in Splus 6 it took 89 seconds.
