Course Description: This specialized two-day course covers the basics of 
conducting analysis of spatial data using the S+SpatialStats module.  Analysis 
of geo-statistical data, lattice data, and spatial point processes are covered, 
including kriging and other sophisticated spatial modeling techniques.  The 
course also cover the use of S-PLUS for ArcView GIS.   This course will provide 
participants with a strong foundation for conducting analysis of spatial data.

Prerequisites: 
Computer Software Required: 
*Working knowledge of MS-Windows 
*Basics of S-PLUS for Windows (we will not be covering this in class) 

Helpful But Not Required: 
*ArcView Statistics Required: 
*Knowledge of basic statistics: descriptive statistics, EDA (histograms, 
scatterplots, boxplots, etc) basic hypothesis testing, linear regression 

Helpful But Not Required:
*Spatial statistics
