Unable to edit functions

Dear all,

I am using Splus 4.5 Professional Release 1 for windows. Yesterday, I was
trying to edit one of the functions that I have  using the object browser,
however, I was not able to do so. Splus  came back with the following
error message 'Failed to create empty document'. However, I can see
the function using the command  window. Does anybody know what's
happening?  Your help is much appreciated.
