I'm running S+ 2000 release 1 under windows 2000. As part of a check on my understanding of these two functions I have been trying to reproduce a loess fit using gam (Gaussian family, identity link) but without success. The results are close but not the same. Any advice on why this is the case welcome. Andy Scott |
