odbc connection

Hello, I am trying to export data to and import data from an odbc
connection. My platform is windows2000, with the MySQL 3.50.39 odbc driver
installed. S-PLUS often crashes when I click File/Export Data/To ODBC
Connection. I get a dialog box that 'S-PLUS has generated erros and will be
closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is
being created.' Note that the error occurs before I choose a particular
odbc connection. Does anyone know how this can be solved? Thanks, Ruud
