Converting Unix C-Code

Dear Users,
I am using S-Plus 6.0 for windows and want to convert an already
existing C-Code for S-Plus 6.0 for Unix (the "rpart" algorithm form
Therneau, Atkinson), so that I can compile, change etc. it with Visual
C++ 6.0. An one-to-one carry-over does not result in a working code.
Problems with the Insightful Code, the load table occur. Can anyone give
me some tips and advice how to do this?
